The fee for my work as a sworn interpreter / translator is based on the Judicial Compensation Act [Justizvergütungs- und -entschädigungsgesetz].
Assignments at conferences or similar are billed at daily rates.
Translations are charged according to the number of standard lines. A standard line is defined as 55 characters including spaces.
The costs for translations depend on the subject area, format and urgency.
