{"id":21,"date":"2021-09-22T18:56:38","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T16:56:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pro-interpreting.com\/en\/?page_id=21"},"modified":"2021-09-23T09:52:38","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T07:52:38","slug":"courts-and-public-authorities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pro-interpreting.com\/en\/courts-and-public-authorities\/","title":{"rendered":"Courts and public authorities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interpreting in the courtroom &#8211; well-versed and legally secure<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Germany, court-based interpreters have to be publicly appointed and sworn in (Act on the Public Appointment and General Swearing-in of Interpreters and Translators [<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gesetze-bayern.de\/Content\/Document\/BayDolmG\">Dolmetschergesetz \u2013 DolmG<\/a>].<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been publicly appointed and sworn as an interpreter for English\/German at the District Court of Munich II, and have been professionally active for many years in civil and criminal proceedings at the Local Courts of F\u00fcrstenfeldbruck, Dachau and Starnberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an intercultural mediator, it is crucial that I enable all parties involved to act with the greatest possible autonomy in order to exercise their rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before the start of the proceedings, any foreign-language documents and pleadings have to be submitted as <strong>certified translations<\/strong> upon request of the pertinent authorities. Please do not hesitate to contact me for this purpose as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pursuant to Section 142 (3) of the Code of Civil Procedure, I certify the accuracy and completeness of the translation, indicating the place and date.
